"A few years ago I showed my work aside a fashion collection by?Pearl Lowe at Liberty," said Albarn. "I met Maxine Groucutt and this year she inquired if I would like to have a skylight for my work. I was looking for a gallery that could house the exhibition and the book launch so, I showed her the book and it entire came together beautifully."

JESSICA ALBARN today launches an exhibition of illustrations taken from her new children's book The Boy In The Oak. Illustrator and artist Albarn's, ethereal, fairytale themed art work namely immediately above show in Liberty.
The illustrator has huge plans for the coming year including current exhibitions and a new book.
"I wrote and illustrated a children's story a long period antecedent when I was 14 meantime I was convalescing from a motorcar event,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Albarn told us. "It wasn't until my own babies were growing up that I felt influenced to write another anecdote because them. I drew my son and my daughter for the 2 cardinal human roles in the paperback and so it has ingredients of their infancy and bomb."

"I would like to rotate the book into a film and animate my drawings,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," she said. "Also I have written the coarse for my next book, however not ones peruse it anyhow! I ambitioned to penetrate this book via 1st. Exhibition wise I am really looking ahead to getting back into the studio and working on a entire new body of work."

Jessica, sister of Blur front man Damon Albarn, previously worked with?Helmut Lang NYC before manuscript and illustrating her first children's book. The book which took four years in aggregate to create, was picked up at Maxine Groucutt, Liberty's brain of visual identity.
