The three had barely reached Bargadhi turn when their motorcycle was intercepted by miscreants riding on two bikes. Before the trio could understand what was happening, two of the miscreants tried to snatch their bag. As the three resisted the move, a scuffle ensued.
Moments later, deafening sounds of gunshots filled the air and the three victims fell on the ground. The miscreants fled the scene along with one of the three bags.
Dharmendra suffered a gunshot wound in his stomach while his father Tribhuvan was hit by a bullet on his shoulder. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Lokesh,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], however, escaped with minor bruises as the bullet grazed past his abdomen. The victims then called for help and some locals informed the police which in turned rushed the trio to the trauma centre where Dharmendra was declared dead upon arrival. Both Tribhuvan and Lokesh were undergoing treatment at the hospital.
As the surviving victims were understandably too shaken by the incident to recollect the specifics that the missing bag contained, the police assessed the value of the robbed items in lakhs of rupees.

The body of Dharmendra was sent for the post mortem examination and a case of murder for robbery was lodged with the BKT police in connection with the incident. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
