Pine Lake, Ga., ex-officer found not guilty

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - A jury in DeKalb County has acquitted a former Pine Lake police officer charged with groping a woman during a traffic stop.
The DeKalb County district attorney's office says William [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] was acquitted Wednesday after a 2-day trial. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] was charged in 2009 with false imprisonment, sexual assault and violating his oath of office.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that records show [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]Â’ police certification was on probation for conduct unbecoming an officer when he was hired by the Pine Lake department.
State records show [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] was forced to resign from the Stone Mountain Police in 2006 after a woman complained he groped her and stalked her.
