(AP) - A jury in DeKalb County has acquitted a former Pine Lake police officer charged with groping a woman during a traffic stop. The DeKalb County district attorney's office says William Anthony Davis Jersey was acquitted Wednesday after a 2-day trial. Anthony Davis Jersey was charged in 2009 with false imprisonment, sexual assault and violating his oath of office. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that records show Anthony Davis JerseyÂ’ police certification was on probation for conduct unbecoming an officer when he was hired by the Pine Lake department. State records show Anthony Davis Jersey was forced to resign from the Stone Mountain Police in 2006 after a woman complained he groped her and stalked her. |
