Most of these plagues occur in a unattached day which the Bible calls "the great and grim day of the Lord". And in the process the true meaning of the great star from heaven called "Wormwood" becomes explicit. <br />The resulting collision would destroy the world and decimate all forms of life on the planet. A cloud of dust and debris would presently circle the earth, blotting out in locations the light of the sun, moon and stars. The impact of this cometary collision would severely jolt the earth, perhaps even causing it to incline on its axis and change the alignment of its poles. <br />For instance, in Chapter 8 of his Book of Revelation John described 7 angels to whom were given seven trumpets. As each angel sounded their horn, the earth was assailed by a characteristic disaster. <br />Suppose a large comet was to pass in orbit nigh the sun. As it sped away from the sun?back into the dark void of space, its radiant tail of?particles would travel forward of it, beat by the force of solar radiation.
